Selecting a subject

Interesting photos require interesting subjects. Look for:

• Favorite flowers (you might as well spend time looking at what you love)
• Interesting patterns, textures and colors
• Perfect, defect free specimens

Think about what draws you to the flower.  Instead of the thinking of the flower as a whole as your subject, make what draws you to the flower your subject.
