As far back as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed photography. From my elementary school days on family vacations, I’ve tried to capture the beauty and majesty of nature on film. My joy in exploring nature and photography continues.  Experience, better equipment and the encouragement of friends have gotten me to the point where I am comfortable sharing my photography more broadly.

Digital SLR photography and printing provided the final push.  With digital photography, I can experiment with different compositions, lenses, exposures and camera settings, all while getting instant feedback and not wasting film. By doing my own printing, I can ensure the final output matches my mental image and, just as importantly, the feel of my favorite places.

 I’m glad that you chose to spend a few minutes exploring some of my favorite places and photographs. I hope that they bring you a little of the pleasure they give to me. Your questions, comments and suggestions are always welcome.
